McAra appointed as Squash NZ Chairman as two new Board members are elected

25/11/2009 - Squash New Zealand announces Neil McAra as the new Chairman of the Squash New Zealand Board. McAra is an experienced Board member having served on the Squash NZ Board since 2003.

Two new Board members were elected at the Squash New Zealand AGM that was held on Saturday 21 November 2009. The newly elected Board members are Tony Johnston and Linda Kenny.
Tony Johnston has been heavily involved in squash, both playing and administration since the 1970's and has most recently served on the Squash Otago Board. Johnston states that being on the Squash New Zealand Board “will be a further opportunity to give a little more back to the game that has given me so much”. He is the Managing Director of Miller Studios Ltd which has a factory in Dunedin as well as offices in Christchurch and Auckland.

Linda Kenny is vastly experienced in all levels of squash, being a former playing representative through to holding a number of management roles in Central Otago and Midlands. She has served as President on the Midland's District Committee as well as having held various committee roles including Secretary and President of the Timaru Squash Club. Kenny has been a School Principal and is now working as a Health Promoter in High Schools in the South Canterbury region.
