A new squash star is born

16/02/2010 - If bloodlines mean anything in sport, a potential future squash world champion has been born.
Baby Ricketts, daughter of New Zealand squash coach Anthony Rickets and women's world number 17 Shelley Kitchen arrived in the world at 5:39pm on Saturday, February 13th.

Anthony Ricketts, the former world number three, says mother and baby are doing well. He says the only thing remaining is to decide a name for his new daughter.

There is no word yet on what sporting colours the new arrival will wear once she grows up, with dad having represented Australia and mum New Zealand. Ricketts says no doubt that question will come up soon enough, with both sets of grand parents currently visiting their new grand daughter.
