ec Newsletter #54
Greetings from a sunny Gisborne and welcome to a new EC Newsletter.
A bit of a different newsletter today - one that is full of real
"news" rather then our usual topic driven newsletter,
We've had some changes at EC lately with long time head of programming
Sathish leaving us to go contracting in project management in
He was with us for just over eight and a half years and in that time
went from a simple working visa through us helping him gain residency
through watching him get married to a great women arranged from afar
by his parents in India to watching the family grow with two active
A mere "thank-you" at the end of that kind of relationship just
doesn't do justice to the mutual help that has been passed from our EC
family to his.
He continues to be available to us if we need him and for that we also
say a heartfelt "thank you".
His role will be taken over by Peter Akuhata a local "East Coast" lad
who has come back to the region after working for many Auckland and
Wellington based compnaies doing great things with handheld devices,
back-end server programing and lots of front-end "user interface"
(What all those terms mean is that he know his stuff and is already
making some small but significant changes to how the EC Toolset works
- watch for more...!
Anaru has also left the team - to move his young family to Whangarei
and his new employer is ecstatic about having a fully trainedn nice
and helpful person on their team,
We wish him well and good luck for the future - lots of you have given
us feedback through his time with us and we will miss him,
We do welcome Georgia to the team - she comes with some great
Photoshop knowledge and some great ideas about design - she has a
large learning curve but is taking to the EC Toolset like a natural.
We have some great new features of the EC Toolset under consideration
and development to make it even easier to maintain and grow your web
Don't forget our free training every second Tuesday - click to register - all you need are speakers on your computer or for full on interaction a skype
like headset with built in microphone.
