Getting the best out of us…
Some businesses are finding it tough out there – as I move around and talk with our various customers throughout NZ I’m finding some regions and some industries are really hurting.
At times like this it’s important to review every spend that your company has – including the ongoing hosting of your web site.
Paying for something that you are not getting full value for is senseless – especially when times are tight.
Having a web site that works that you take full ownership of and understanding how it all fits with your business is a great way to explore new opportunities and get more revenue from potential new customers as well as satisfy and grow the relationship that you have with existing customers.
So how do you get the best use of us…?
Here’s a list of things that you can do – to help make your web site work better: -
Come along to our free webinars – every second Tuesday we host an hour long webinar where whoever comes along gets to ask the questions. The questions could be about aspects of the EC Toolset to make sure you understand how to use the system – or it could be about Google Analytics which is a great tool that you can use to show you what content on your web site is working – and also what content you should have more of on your web site. The time investment for you is 2 hours per month – and you can register here - www.ectoolset.com/help/webinars.asp
Read our past Newsletters – over the past couple of years I’ve been writing these newsletters and they are available at http://www.ec2.co.nz/News/ There is a low time investment for you to read a couple of these newsletters and I hope you get some useful information from them.
Read our Articles – I’ve been writing for various media publications since the early days of the web – and some of these are available on line at www.ectoolset.com/articles
Delicious Tags – I use delicious to tag and bookmark interesting web sites that I find and want to save for future reference. These tags are shared for you to enjoy and use as a reference too at www.delicious.com/RussellHolland This is easy and simple for you to use in your business – try delicious first when you are looking for a solution to a problem – if I haven’t tagged it someone else in Delicious probably has
Help Section – we have many PDF documents and link in our help section at www.ectoolset.com/help/ You’ll find information about the various components of the EC Toolset as well as some help documents for making photos smaller
Twitter and Facebook – you can see what we have been up to on Twitter and Facebook – you can find our links on the bottom of this email newsletter
Talk to us – I know I’ve been very busy lately and sometimes have missed returning calls – and for that I apologise – but we do provide a 0800 number for the office and I carry my mobile with me wherever I go. Feel free to call and ask a question about your web site and how to make it work better…
I hope you continue to get value from these newsletters and do please let me know a topic you would like to see covered…
www.GizMag.com – if you like new gadgets and invetions, vehicles (of all types) and other electronic and up to the minute – “future tech” machines then subscribe to this email list. Every couple of days they send you amazing stories about new things - here’s a brief glimpse: -
